Thai Traditional Buddhist Wedding Ceremony Program

Chanting and blessing of Buddhist monks in the typical ceremony is usually done in the morning until 12:00 noon (monks don't eat afternoon time)

• Around 9:30 am, the long drum dance procession arrives with the entourage of the groom and guest first.
• After the procession of the grooms party, the entourage of the bride or the bride alone with the long drum parade follows.
• Costume thai ladies go along with the procession of the bride and groom throwing flowers on the way thru the wedding area.
• The procession will arrive at the banquet area venue where the monks are waiting.
• Bride and groom sits side by side at the bridal table facing the monks.
• Buddhist religion ceremonial rites begin with the chanting and
• Blessings by the monk celebrant.
• The holy candles are being lit by the couple
• Pouring of water by the monks will follow
• Water blessing is also join by the guest couple
• The couple offers the alms to the monks (like a gift)
• The couple offer food to the monks
• The monk take their lunch
• The couple cut the cake and opens the bottle of sparkling wine
• Then program follows if there is together with the registration if applicable. (Typically the wedding ceremony will be done until noon time only)

(The ceremony program will be the combination of the Thai Traditional wedding in the morning and the western wedding in the afternoon)

• There will be a compulsory charge for couple's attending guest during the wedding ceremony at 250 baht/person.
• Prices quoted on the extras are subject to change upon confirmation of the wedding.
• A required non-refundable deposit of 10,000 baht to secure the wedding date.
• A chosen wedding date will be subject for availability upon inquiry.
• The chosen wedding date can be moved provided it will not affect some cost of the wedding and also the chosen new date is subject to availability further.
• A compulsory 3 nights stay is required for bride and groom for the wedding package booking.
• Children from 4-11 years –half price on the quoted package dinner price.
• Children under 4 years are free of charge on the dinner package price.
• If ever the wedding package was on its finality for the confirmation, the following details of the booking will comprise as required:
  • 50 % deposit payment of the total wedding package chosen.( Include the extra option if applicable)
  • Full balance will be paid 30 days before the wedding date.
  • Room accommodation final booking for the couple and guest – 2 months before the wedding date.
  • Required 1 night non-refundable deposit payment for the confirm rooms
  • If ever the couple will cancel the confirm wedding package booking 60 days before, the 50% deposit payment is subject for surcharges depending on the suppliers agreement.( There will also be a 15% administrative cost for all refunds aside from the suppliers surcharges)
  • If the couple will cancel the confirm wedding package booking less than 60 days, the 50% deposit is non-refundable.

• General information:
  • Weddings in Thailand are only symbolic and blessings. If you opt to make a legal wedding certain papers and documents are required from your embassy and the Thai Ministry of foreign affairs.
  • If couple would like to get a legal wedding, we can cater this with a separate cost. Some Documents will be needed and this will be further communicated with the couple . It is advisable that couple will stay in Bangkok at least 5 days in order to process their legal paper in their Embassy. There is one paper that is most required by the Thai Foreign Ministry " The affidavit of Freedom to Marry " which the couple will get this from their embassy in Bangkok. Anyway our team representative in Bangkok will set up a meeting with the couple for the said requirement for assistance.
• For Catholic wedding, a separate requirement is needed by the priest. Catholic wedding is not allowed to be done on the beach but only on the church as priest require for the solemnity of the blessing. We can arrange this for the full set up of catholic wedding with the program.
